What are RED and INFRARED light therapy?

Red & infrared light therapy uses specific wavelengths in the red & infrared light spectrum to treat a variety of conditions in muscle, bone & skin.

Photobiomodulation: LED and LASER therapy

More recently, light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have become popular for many of the same applications because studies show that, for most applications, they are as effective and less expensive than lasers.

Did you know?

For many years, clinicians have used laser therapy for healing all types of injuries:

Sprains and Strains

Inflammation Control

Wound Care

Postoperative Care

Pain Relief

LED vs LASER light therapy

LED’s emit the same light as laser, yet light energy is different

LED’s treat larger areas than laser

LED’s are more affordable and robust than lasers

LED’s don’t need to be recalibrated

LED’s don’t have risk of accidental eye damage

Professionals use it, and so can you!

Healthcare professionals have been using this technology to treat patients for many years. In 2012 Photizo launched the Home Care range which brings the same technology to the end user in affordable, portable hand-held units, which are safe and easy to use.

How will light therapy help you?

Non-invasive treatment that stimulates the body’s own healing mechanisms

Penetrates to different levels into the body, stimulating red blood cells

Blood flow to tissue is promoted and lymphatic drainage increases

Stimulates the production of collagen and elastin

Reduces inflammation and swelling

The wavelengths used in Photizo

Visible Red Light: 633nm. It is beneficial in treating problems close to the surface such as wounds, cuts, fine lines and wrinkles. Infrared Light: 850nm. It is beneficial for deep tissue like bones, joints, deep muscles, tendons and bursae.

A product of international standards

Manufactured in South Africa, Photizo is also exported to Europe, United Kingdom, USA, Asia, New Zealand and Australia. With an ever-growing demand for light therapy treatment, our global footprint has been rapidly growing since the inception of our Home Care range back in 2012.
