Ligaments are bands of strong, flexible tissue that connect bone to bone or bone to cartilage throughout your body. They allow movement between bones, which allows you to do things like flex your foot or move your fingers. While ligaments are extremely strong, they can be stretched or even torn, resulting in different grades of sprains.
There are three grades of ligament injury: grade 1, a mild ligament tear, grade 2, a moderate ligament tear, and grade 3, a complete ligament tear, otherwise known as a rupture. Common ligament tears are to the ankle, knee, wrist, thumb, neck, or back ligaments.
It’s important to follow the R (rest) I (ice) C (compression) E (elevation) treatment protocol immediately after a ligament injury. Using the Photizo Sport after the initial R.I.C.E. treatment will help to accelerate healing.

Some of the benefits of using the Photizo Sport include:
- Reduces inflammation
- Increases blood circulation
- Boosts endorphin production
- Blocks pain transmitting chemicals
- Eases pain
- Non-invasive
- Pain-free
- Simple to operate
- Safe
